Deer

Today we saw many deer outside.  Nana and I were out on the mule and saw a doe run away.  It looked like it had a baby too but we are not sure.  Then we came outside later and saw two deer run away in the meadow when Millenni started barking at them.  The other day we were toriding around on the mule and we smelled a dead animal.  We looked around and Nana thought she saw a dead deer.  It turned out to be a big rock!

One of the deer we saw run into the woods today

In the center of the picture is the brownish rock that Nana thought was a dead deer.

Flip Flops and Toe Nails

Yesterday my flip flops broke.  They were unfixable.  When we went to Walmart we got me new flip flops.  They are tye-dyed red, white and blue for the 4th of July.  Today Nana painted my nails purple. Here is a picture of my purple nails and new flops.

Hobo Packs

Debbie and Rusty left this morning.  We went to the visitors center here and used their Wi-Fi.  I also called my Mom.  She said she got her Associates Degree so it was important to her.  Then we went to go pick up things around the campsites.  That took about an hour.  Then we came back and went east of Athens to go to Walmart to get some groceries for the week.  Before that we went to McDonald’s to get some lunch.  Earlier this week we ate hobo packs for dinner.  It started pouring down rain.  They were good.  This is what we put in them:  peppers, potatoes, hamburger meat, and onions.  We put them in foil packs and cooked them on the fire pit.

The hobo packs are cooking on the fire pit.

June 25th

Today I woke up really early, at 7:30.  Debbie and Rusty came today.  After lunch we went on a 2.5 mile hike to find a geocache.  It was exhausting, hot and humid but we found the cache.  For dinner we had chicken, potato salad, bread from Lindsey’s work and broccoli and for desert, s’mores.  Chocolate graham crackers, Hershey’s chocolate bar and marshmallows.  I went in the water and played today.  It was a fun day.  We played marbles game with Rusty and Debbie.  Debbie won.

June 24th

Today I slept in late.  I woke up at noon.  The rest of the day we watched Casey Anthony on trial.  Me and Grandpa played War and Go Fish.  There is nothing much to do here in the park, but this afternoon Grandpa and I took a drive on the mule and saw an owl.  I think it was a Great Horned Owl.  I miss Zay, Dusty and Tiger being here.  I can’t wait to see Cheyenne and Joshua.

Pretzels

Nana and I made pretzels today.  They were salty.  Grandpa went to the doctor today in Greenville but when he got there they had cancelled his appointment and were closed.  He had gotten up at 5:00am to go. It has been sprinkling on and off today.  I can't wait to see Cheyenne and Joshua.

Granite

I am visiting with Nana and Grandpa for a week in Georgia.  Today we went to the granite capital of the world, Elberton, Georgia.  In this town we first went to Georgia's Stonehenge.  Stonehenge is located in England.  Georgia's Stonehenge was built in 1979.  Nobody knows who wanted them there except the builder.  Next we went to McDonald's to get some lunch.  I had a McChicken, fries and strawberry lemonade.  Then we went to Ingle's to get a few things.  After that we went to the town square and saw where "Dutchy" the Yankee Confederate used to stand.  Then we went to a museum and saw where Dutchy is now.  Then we came home and I went down to the river to go swim but I only swam for about maybe 5 minutes.  Then we went to Maggie's Cafe.  It was awesome.  Write again tomorrow!  Here is what to do when the world ends according to the Georgia Guidestones.
